70's Inspired Look

Today me and my best friend did each other's makeup for fun (cause we are 8 years old) and we both ended up falling in love with the look she did on me! Take a look!

After doing the themed makeup and we also wanted to do a 70's inspired outfit. The head scarf is Abbi's and she recently bought in store from H&M. And the shirt I got awhile ago from Pacsun.

The dark blue in the crease is from the Gwen Stefani palette from Urban Decay. The other colors are from various palettes.

She did a lot of mascara on the bottom lashes to give the clumpy 70's vibe. You can't tell in the pictures but my bottom lash line is lined with purple from Urban Decay.

I think the pink gloss is so cute and brings the whole look together! The gloss is the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie gloss in 'Perky Peony' I am obsessed with this look and pretty much wish I could go back in time and spend a day in the 70's with this look!

Urban Decay: Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette Review

I got this palette from Sephora for $25! That was discounted 50% because it was a limited edition palette and this was the last one in stock. You know I had to get my hands on this. Plus it helped that I made friends with the associates in Sephora after being in there for over an hour.

First of all the packaging is sooo cute. Like gold? Hello!

This palette has 15 colors ranging from neturals to pops of color. It has a good amount of mattes and shimmers to create many versatile looks. 5 creamy mattes, 5 metallics, and 5 vibrant satins in this palette makes a very even balance.

A nice plus to this palette is the big mirror. With a magnetic closure it has a very lux feel to it!

These colors are not a joke! Sooo creamy and very pigmented. Except one actually is a joke. The one in the top right, "punk" was not comparable to the others. It was chalky and not pigmented. And in the pan it looks like a warm brown but it comes off very cool toned on the skin. I feel like every other shade is well worth the money especially since I got it for half price. I love that it has so many lighter shades because my go look consists of a lighter glittery shade on the lid and a matte in the crease, so I can create a lot of variations of my everyday look just using this palette. I feel like this forumla is even softer than most Urban Decay shadows and thats saying a lot being that they are known for their eye shadow. If you want this palette I would check your Sephora or Ulta and see if they have one in stock! You can also order online at Ulta and Sephora for the half price!! I just checked and its still in stock. Links here---->  Sephora Gwen StefaniUlta Gwen Stefani

This palette is perfect for creating an everyday look but with the pops of color it could suit anyone and any occasion. Tbh I think I might like this more than Urban Decay's Naked Palettes... So you can tell I'm not fooling around!! And neither should you, so get your hands on this palette while you still can! #NotSponsored #WouldBeSponsoredifIcould

WetnWild Eyeshadow Dud: Poster Child

I have a blog post 2 Drugstore Eyeshadow Palettes Worth the Money.<<Click that link to read more about it! I talk about an all matte palette from Sonia Kashuk and a neutral eye shadow palette from Wet n Wild. I love that Wet n Wild palette. The shades are so buttery and pigmented. So I thought I would try out palette with a little more punch. I bought this palette thinking it would be so fun for summer and it was only $5.

This is in the shade 'Poster Child.' The palette looks like it could be fun to play around with but...

It's awful.
I feel bad saying it's awful but look at the swatches! There is NO color to these shades. These might have been the worst shadows I have ever used there very stiff and looked like nothing on the eyes. Which I find very interesting because the Wet n Wild 'Comfort Zone' Neutral palette might be the best eyeshadows from the drugstore. That palette is worth every penny and more. However, this palette isn't worth a darn thing!!
